The "Have You Cleaned Out Your Pantry/Closet/Garage?" Department
It's time again to take hat in hand and ask that you keep an eye out for the "stuff" you don't have a use for, or that you bought but didn't like, or that you have a lot of extras of...
For instance:
Paper towels, dish soap, bleach, window cleaners, laundry soap, bath towels that still absorb, pillow cases, and buckets.
What the normal household does weekly, we must do every day. Our washing machine is in constant use..dishes are washed all day long...our Dustbuster and Shop-Vac are close personal friends. Our outdoor hoses are replaced at least 4 times a year! Our dog runs and drains are bleached frequently, and the cat cages are scrubbed out every day. So you can see, household items are written into our shriveling budget and wind right up there with dog and cat food and electric, gas and water bills.
Everything that you donate has its tax-deductible value, and all you have to do is ask us for the form to include with your taxes next year. The savings to Pet Rescue is surprisingly high and, needless to say, every penny we don't have to spend on this stuff is diverted back into the immediate care of our pets-in-waiting. Thank you.
Our expenses are enormous and we are funded only by dues and donations which are used in their entirety to provide the absolute necessities and little "extras' to the homeless creatures in our care.
Any help that you can give us in raising funds is welcome.
